Job Overview: As a Maintenance Mechanic you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment according to established schedules.
  2. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems and perform repairs to restore equipment to operational condition.
  3. Conduct troubleshooting activities to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
  4. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  5. Collaborate with other maintenance team members and production personnel to address maintenance issues and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
  6. Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and equipment condition, using maintenance management software or paper-based systems.
  7. Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and decommissioning activities as needed.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  9. Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and work instructions.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to uphold standards of operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
