Manager, Supply ChainThe Supply Chain Manager has oversight and control of end-to-end supply chain operations with visibility of all inventory management, vendor coordination, vendor contract and pricing negotiations, production planning, and international logistics. This role manages timely procurement, efficient material flow, and cost optimization to support business objectives. This manager will gain experience supporting electronics manufacturing through to customer fulfillment in the railway industry on multiple continents.Amsted Digital Solutions is a subsidiary of Amsted Rail, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company with great benefits: 401k match, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 4 weeks of PTO.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and develop fulfillment processes locally and at manufacturing facilitiesMonitor supply chain, vendor performance, storage units and inventory levelsDevelop processes for kitting, packing, labeling, and preparation for shipment locally and for manufacturing facilitiesMaintain safety stock of critical materials across multiple locationsProcurement & Vendor ManagementCoordinate shipments of raw materials and finished goods to and from vendorsObtain quotes and evaluate vendor pricing for accuracy and cost reductionCreate vendor requests and manage purchase orders in SAPEstablish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendorsPurchase critical components to ensure production continuityProduction & SAP ManagementManage SAP transactions, BOMs, routers, storage locations, and STOsCreate production orders and backflush inventorySubmit production forecasts to EMS providersProcess RMAs, including receiving, tagging, and updating tickets in DevOpsSupply Chain StrategyMonitor and report on component availability and lead timesDevelop cost-out strategies across the supply chain (components, transportation, packaging)Assess and forecast production requirements with contract manufacturersEvaluate new sources for lowest total landed costReview packaging and transportation costs periodically for optimizationEstablish performance metrics for suppliers and internal processesDesired QualificationsLight to medium lifting along with pack out, kitting, and labeling work is requiredExperience or Training in Supply Chain Management (especially electronics)Experience with SAP or similar platform and supply chain operationsAble to travel internationally up to 10%Experience with product lifecycle management systems like Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, PTC Arena, or similarExperience with quality management systems like ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 80079-34, or similarStrong analytical and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAmsted Rail is an Equal Opportunity employer.
