JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for manufacturing automation technologies that are focused on process optimization.
  • Responsible for supporting projects across a wide range of automation, asset connectivity, and machine learning/vision systems.
  • Interface directly with multiple teams including Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Product Change Control and Safety.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or electrical engineering with 2-3 years’ experience.
  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or electrical engineering.


REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • General knowledge of automation concepts or robotics.
  • General knowledge of networked machines.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • General knowledge of data analytics.
  • Experience with robot and/or PLC programming.
  • Experience with machine tool connectivity.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with machine learning / vision system.


SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to maintain and improve processes and systems used in manufacturing.
