Production Runner

Frontwave Arena is seeking Production Runners for our 7,500-capacity indoor entertainment and sports arena. Our Production Runner is responsible for assisting the production department and touring guests on show days. You will work closely with the production and touring managers to execute production requirements. This position is fully on-site at our arena with a significant amount of driving.

Work Location & Hours

Oceanside, California

Part-time, hourly position.

Hours will vary based on company need. This position will require evening and weekend shifts based on event or company need.

Pay Scale

$20-$22 hourly.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Display a professional and personable attitude with venue and touring personnel.
• Collect, transport, and deliver equipment, supplies, and materials to and from the venue as needed i.e. local stores, vendors, airports, hotels, laundry, restaurants.
• Make purchases for the show and venue as needed and as directed by venue or touring personnel.
• Maintain cash and receipts throughout the day and balance at end of shift.
• Provide local area information to touring personnel.
• Provide transportation for personnel throughout the show day, either in a personal vehicle or a show rented vehicle.
• Assist with production related duties backstage as directed including making signage, inventory, and other miscellaneous and various duties as requested. 

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Production Manager.

Job Requirements

• Must pass background check and driving record check (minimum of 3 years clean driving record).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take direction and execute instructions efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
• Must be 25 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, working cell phone, and reliable transportation.
• May be required to drive a rented or company vehicle and must meet state requirements regarding rental vehicles.
• Thorough knowledge of the local area and previous live event production experience a plus.
• Availability to work scheduled shows and long shifts including nights and weekends.
• Safe driving habits and ability to work well with others is a must.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and driving.
• Frequent driving.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

• Composure under deadlines/stress.
