ForemanThe Foreman coordinates construction operations and oversees workers at the construction site. The Foreman also coordinates with the Site Superintendent and Project Manager to attain scheduling goals. The Foreman is experienced in all aspects of construction, a point of reference for both workers and supervisors and is key for the completion of the project.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and duties include:Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plansProduce short term schedules and monitor attendance of crew and subcontractors personnelAllocate general and daily responsibilities to carpenters, laborers, and subcontractorsSupervise and train workers and tradespeopleEnsure manpower and resources are adequateGuarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are metSupervise the use of machinery and equipmentResolve problems when they ariseReport on progress to managers, engineers, etc.Skills Knowledge and ExpertisePosition requirements include:Proven experience as construction foreman or journeyman carpenterHigh School diploma; or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc.)7 years experience in the construction industry with at least 3 years as a Foreman or high level carpenterKnowledge of building codes and permit regulationsExcellent organizational and leadership skillsAbility to communicate and report effectivelyAbility to read plans and schedulesIn-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelinesAbility to read and interpret architectural drawings and specificationsJourneyman-level carpentry skillsTeam-building and mentoring skillsIngenuity based on technical knowledge and experience with both traditional and new materialsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Bluebeam, Procore, Dropbox a plusBenefitsBenefits include:Health, dental, vision insurance options401kPTOAbout Design Line ConstructionDesign Line Construction is a preeminent builder known for our smooth execution of beautifully detailed projects, and the proactive, wholehearted, engaged spirit of our experienced team.
