Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Wireless Engineer to join our team and lead the migration of our wireless network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and migrating to a new Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), including integration with AWS and upgrading existing systems. This role requires a strong hands-on approach to wireless technology, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently, including during weekends as needed. Experience in broader network technologies beyond wireless will be advantageous for long-term growth in this role.


Key Responsibilities:


Wireless Network Migration

Lead the migration of wireless sites to a new Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) and new servers, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.

Configure the new DNAC, including integration with AWS, and handle the transition from the old DNAC to the new system.

Oversee the upgrade of existing DNAC systems and ensure successful implementation of new features and capabilities.

Configuration and Implementation

Perform hands-on configuration of Cisco wireless equipment, including access points, controllers, and related infrastructure.

Develop and implement wireless network designs that align with organizational needs and industry best practices.

Technical Leadership

Provide technical expertise on wireless network design, deployment, and optimization.

Address complex technical questions and issues related to the migration and integration of DNAC systems.

Assess the implications of moving DNAC and provide solutions to potential challenges.

Operational Flexibility

Be available for work during weekends as required to support migration activities and address critical issues.

Demonstrate a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the ability to work independently.

Documentation and Support

Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, migration plans, and implementation processes.

Provide support and training to team members and end-users on new wireless systems and configurations.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Proven experience in configuring and managing Cisco wireless networks, including access points, controllers, and DNAC systems.

Experience with migrating and upgrading DNAC systems, including integration with AWS.

Hands-on experience with broader network technologies is a plus, as it contributes to long-term role stability and growth.

Technical Skills

Strong expertise in wireless network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in configuring Cisco wireless equipment and managing DNAC systems.

Understanding of network architecture, including integration with cloud platforms like AWS.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle work during weekends as needed.
