Specific Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
  • Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other physiological parameters using telemetry equipment.
  • Identify and respond to changes in patients' conditions, including emergent situations.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on patients' medical histories and current conditions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families.
  • Promote health and wellness through teaching and patient engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Report critical changes in patients' conditions to physicians and other healthcare providers promptly.
  • Ensure documentation meets legal, regulatory, and hospital standards.
  • Perform various medical procedures, including IV insertions, wound care, and catheterizations.
  • Use telemetry equipment to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety drills.
  • Implement infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Stay current with advances in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities, certifications, and professional development activities.
  • Engage in peer review and feedback to improve clinical practice.


Must have qualifications/experience:

  • BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years
  • Medical Surgical Adult and Pediatrics Experience is a plus
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
  • EMR Experience
  • BLS Certfication
  • Medical Office Experience
  • Medical Terminology Knowledge
  • Experience working in a fast paced team environment
  • Great Multitasker

  • Good Typing Skills
  • Great Customer Service Skills

Tech or equipment used on the unit: Alaris Infusion Pumps, Alaris PCAs, Stryker Beds, Umano Beds, GE Wireless Telemetry, Masimo Roots with Patient Safety Net



REMOTE/ONSITE: Onsite, Olathe, KS



Shift Start/End Time: Night Shift: 6:45PM-7:15AM
