Seasonal College Store AssistantOur seasonal college store assistants at Stark State support daily operations of the College Store by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring an organized, welcoming retail environment. Typical hours scheduled are Mon-Fri 8:00a - 4:00p. Location: Stark State Main Campus (North Canton). Pay: $12.25 - $15.71 /hour (based on experience). Success for both our employees and our students is the result.You'll be a great fit if you have a high school diploma or GED, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail. The ideal candidate can multitask in a fast-paced environment and will have had previous retail or customer service experience, which is a plus.Typical responsibilities include:Providing exceptional customer service, including greeting and assisting customers with a friendly and positive attitude.Addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly and courteously.Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient store operations.Helping to check in books and merchandise, file and process paperwork.Operating cash registers and handle transactions accurately.Stocking shelves, locating textbooks and merchandise in back stock, locating textbooks on reserve for students, helping keep store clean.To be considered you'll need: High School Diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.Outstanding benefits you can expect from Stark State: Part-time employees receive state pension/retirement (OPERS/STRS), paid Stark State tuition, & employee assistance program.
