The Opportunity
ThePostdoctoral Scholar will provide support in coordinating, managing, and conducting highly specialized epidemiology and community-based participatory research focusing on transgender health and other health disparities research.The scholar will contribute to and assist with all aspects of research, including study conceptualization, overseeing the collection of data, planning and carrying out quantitative and qualitative analyses, presenting results at research conferences, and preparing manuscripts for publication. In addition, the scholar may contribute to and gain experience with the preparation and submission of a proposal for federal funding.Thepostdocwill be mentored directly by Dr. Elena Cyrus and will have the opportunity to collaborate with others within the Department of Population Health Sciences, College of Medicine.

Position Responsibilities
Engage in data analysis, manuscript writing, and proposal development related to a range of health disparities topics such as vaccine hesitancy, im/migrant and refugee health, and sexual and gender minority populations. Participate in the day-to-day execution of the study To Reach Unrestricted Services for Transgender Women (TRUST) under the supervision and mentorship of Dr. Cyrus Work with transgender populations in community-based and office-based settings, aiding in protocol development, data collection, and statistical analyses Participate with faculty and other fellows and trainees, in the development of research manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Prepare a research proposal for extramural support Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D., or equivalent in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required. Strong skills in writing, good communication, and team-building skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience using Redcap, SPSS or other analytic platforms. Knowledge of epidemiology or cohort study design and statistical analyses is desired. Expertise in sexual and gender minority research is desirable.
