Become A Us Foods DriverReady to build a career with a company that's leading the foodservice industry?Primary function of this position is to drive tractor trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, etc.) to and from remote dispatch sites.We help you make it Our shuttle drivers make $20.40 / hourBenefits medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, strong safety culture, and much moreUS Foods is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs and a continuous improvement focus.Main ingredients of the job:Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sitesMay be called upon to perform duties of Backhaul or Delivery DriverPerform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspectionPhysical requirements:Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions requiredWhat you bring to the table:Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications6 months commercial driving experience requiredDoubles endorsement required AND minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferredMust be comfortable working overnightAbility to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locationsMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.Why US Foods:US Foods helps our customers Make It, with products and services that shape the communities where we live and work.
