Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Post Acute Care (Nursing homes and Rehab centers)
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Position Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Experience: 2 years.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, and order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of pulmonary conditions, such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, and sleep disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, and other interventions.
- Perform minor procedures, such as nebulizer treatments and spirometry (if permitted by state regulations).
- Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle changes, and preventative measures.
- Collaborate with pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the practice.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing (NP) required, with current licensure in Florida.
- Board certification in Pulmonology or eligibility for certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pulmonology or a related critical care setting.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in the diagnosis and management of respiratory disorders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Compensation:
Pay per code, to be discussed at the interview.
