Required Technical Skills:
Primary Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in designing and developing APIs using RESTful principles.
  • Experience with API development frameworks such as Node.js Express or Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in working with JSON XML and Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
  • Expertise in database technologies including SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of API security standards including OAuth2 JWT and best practices in API authentication and authorization.
  • Proficient in handling API versioning scaling and optimization for performance.
  • Familiarity with cloudbased API management platforms such as AWS API Gateway Azure API Management or Apigee.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and serviceoriented architecture (SOA).

Secondary Skills:

  • Experience with message brokers like Kafka RabbitMQ or similar.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools for API deployment (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of testing tools such as Postman Swagger or JMeter for API testing and performance benchmarking.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL or SOAP services
