Production ManagerThe Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Production and Production Warehouse departments at multiple locations and is the key contact for all IT/technical issues. The Production Manager also creates, monitors and manages expense and capital budgets, leads associates and manages all aspects of employee engagement.Responsibilities include developing and maintaining production plans, determining headcount requirements, scheduling equipment and team resources, tracking component yield rates, managing work order maintenance, setting performance metrics, benchmarking metrics, developing and monitoring annual department budgets, planning and managing resources to achieve budget goals, directing daily activities, coaching and developing supervisors and teams, maintaining a positive and safe work environment, overseeing employee relations, establishing performance goals, managing employee performance, taking corrective action, developing and coordinating training, consulting with Human Resources, conducting regular department meetings, ordering/procuring materials and services, serving as key IT contact, identifying and implementing key areas for improvement, maintaining a presence across all shifts, providing and maintaining a safe work environment, coordinating emergency response, and coordinating efforts with the Safety Department.Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a bachelors degree in business management preferred, 7+ years of production and/or manufacturing experience in a food environment, HACCP and GMP certifications preferred, excellent communication skills, ability to coach and present information, ability to mentor and develop individuals and teams, strong organizational and project management skills, ability to manage large, complex projects, proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software, detailed knowledge of ERP and WMS systems, high level of understanding financial reports, ability to understand and work with relational databases, and bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, operating a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone, sitting and reaching with hands and arms, lifting up to 20 pounds, close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position will require travel, including overnight travel for production launches, company events, staff meetings, training sessions, and vendor fairs. Must maintain a valid driver license and proof of automobile insurance coverage. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position may require evening and weekend work depending on business needs.
