Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in San Antonio, TX for a Registered Dietitian at Sage Bariatric. The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy and counseling for pre and postoperative patients undergoing weight loss surgeries under the supervision of a physician. The role involves collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to provide personalized and comprehensive nutritional care for patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and performance goals.


Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Current Certification in BLS, ACLS or willingness to obtain
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in nutrition, dietetics or related field
  • Minimum two years of experience in medical nutrition therapy
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition-related diseases and evidence-based nutrition therapy
  • Experience and/or certifications in weight management, eating disorders, and behavioral change is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of electronic health records, including charting and documentation requirements
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing tasks and managing workload
  • Current Texas state licensure or eligibility to become licensed in Texas as a Dietitian
