Technician Intern In Engineering ServicesThe devices we make at SEL are embedded in the power grid. They prevent blackouts. As a Technician Intern in Engineering Services, you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.As a Technician Intern, a typical day might include the following:Developing and maintaining knowledge in SEL processes and technologies.Performing tests on new and existing technology.Documenting and communicating test results.Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.Understand. Create. Simplify.This job might be for you if:You are working toward an Electrical Engineering Technology degree or relevant discipline.You have experience in programming and script files.You have practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems.You have working knowledge of emulators and logic analyzers.You are proficient with MS Windows and serial port terminal emulation software.You have practical knowledge of SEL protective relays & automation controllers.You are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.You are able to work cooperatively in a team environment.Location InformationThis position is located in Boise, ID, capital of the gem state, and on the Boise River in the southwestern part of the state. You will enjoy local restaurants in a vibrant downtown full of small businesses, easy access to mountain foothills and 190 miles of trails. The city is also home to great schools and universities including Boise State University. Boise has been ranked as one of America's fastest growing cities, making it a great place to live and work.Pay Range Data($19.50 - $24.50 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate).
