Our client provides a diverse range of equipment and services aimed at cleaning and preserving industrial machinery across various industries. They are committed to delivering top-notch solutions that uphold the highest quality standards. Currently, they are looking to hire a Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team.


The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating requests for quotations (RFQs) developed by the sales and applications engineering Teams. They will complete 3D models using AutoCAD Inventor or similar software and calculate purchase proposals with various available options/features utilizing a cost collection spreadsheet.

Focus:

  • Evaluate and assess requests for quotations (RFQs) from various sources.
  • Utilize drafting software to create visual representations as needed for project proposals.
  • Develop comprehensive purchase proposals that consider a range of options and features, supported by detailed cost analysis.
  • Maintain consistency in pricing strategies and documentation, drawing from historical data and market trends.
  • Facilitate communication with vendors to ensure accurate pricing and timely delivery of materials.
  • Provide input and suggestions for optimizing pricing strategies to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales Office Administrators, to streamline processes and ensure alignment between sales orders and project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough cost-to-budget analyses to assess project viability and present relevant performance metrics.



Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of fabrication or capital equipment manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD Inventor).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in mathematics including percentages, ratios, and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and MRP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
