divh2Job Summary And Responsibilities/h2pEssential Job Functions:/pulliSpends majority of work time performing equipment repairs in accordance to assigned request./liliDetects equipment problems, purchases replacement parts and maintains the following equipment:/liulliDistilled water system/liliCompressed air (mechanical/medical)/liliMedical vacuum system/liliPiping for steam/water/heat/air conditioning/liliSanitary sewer, ejector system/liliStorm/floor drains/liliGrease traps/liliAcid dilution tank/liliCondensate return pumps/traps/liliPressure reducing valves/liliDrinking water pipes/cooler/liliSprinkler/standpipe systems/liliMedical/natural gas/liliHot/cold water booster pumps/liliPipe insulation/liliAll auxiliary equipment/li/ulliOn-call for emergency repairs/troubleshooting for the Medical Center./liliAll Maintenance associates are expected to help during inclement weather/emergency conditions involving downtime of major equipment and systems within the Medical Center and Plant./liliDue to maintaining operation of the Medical Center 24-hours a day, each staff person will be required to work overtime as designated by the Maintenance Coordinator and/or Director of Plant Services. Those individuals who accumulate over time will be compensated in accordance with Medical Center policy./li/ulpMarginal Job Functions:/pulliIs cross-trained to lend support to other personnel (i.e. mechanic)./liliPerforms preventive maintenance activities./liliPerforms other duties as required (i.e. cleaning, moving)./li/ulpJob Requirements/ppMinimum Qualifications/ppRequired Education and Experience:/pulliHigh school graduate or equivalent and training from a recognized craft apprenticeship required./liliWhere formal education requirements are stated, equivalent may be substituted./liliOne year of plumbing experience required./liliTakes one year for an average performer to receive on the-job training to this position./li/ulpRequired Licensure and Certifications:/pulliJourneyman Plumber licensure required./liliAUTO:NE NFPA99: Health Care Facilities Code Certification (preferred)./liliAttends mandatory education program and maintains skills/competencies required for the position./liliAttends departmental meetings and in-services as directed./li/ulpWhere Youll Work:/ppCHI Health St. Elizabeth, founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1889, is a full-service, 260-bed, nonprofit regional medical center in Lincoln, Neb.
