Journeyman ElectricianThe Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing a variety of electrical systems and components in county owned properties.Schedule: Please note this position has a 4-day work week, with occasional Fridays, evenings, and weekend shifts.This position will require CJIS (Criminal Justice Information System) Clearance prior to employment, training upon hire, and maintained indefinitely.Compensation: Hiring Range: $33.44 - $34.50 USD Hourly. Click here for our Total Rewards summary.Essential Duties:Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems; including but not limited to switch gear, generators, transformers, lighting systems, ups, motors and controls, VFD's, A/C units, fuel pumps, and building automation systems.Emergency response and on call. Including but not limited to: Floods, odors, lighting, HVAC, fire protection, and security. Maintaining equipment related to job duties.Maintain fire protection system; including control panels, smoke detectors, sprinklers, won doors, audio/visual, and door holders.Maintenance of building automation systems; including programming and testing for the needs of county employees, and or the public safety.Install and maintain low-volt door access and controls.This position requires after hours on-call for emergencies such as snow removal or other situations that call for essential personnel.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Research shows that women and other underrepresented and historically marginalized groups tend to apply only when they check every box in the posting.
