Role Overview:

One of Insight Global's top enterprise retail clients is looking for a Senior Java/GCP Architect to join their team in Memphis, TN The Senior Java/GCP Architect will be instrumental in the company’s cloud transformation journey, transitioning services and applications to GCP Cloud. This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust technical background to oversee the design and deployment of scalable and reliable software solutions within the Merchandising domain.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and stakeholders to set technology standards.
  • Translate business requirements into technical cloud solutions aligned with architectural plans.
  • Maintain domain standards and ensure robust and aligned project designs.
  • Architect cloud solutions and guide engineering teams to deliver technical business value.
  • Lead the creation of cloud designs and architectures, ensuring disaster recovery, data integrity, and security.
  • Engage in high-level technical discussions and drive the implementation of cloud features.
  • Support the prioritization and scoping of projects to meet current and future cloud capabilities.
  • Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of cloud technology solutions.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience within an enterprise environment.
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a technical architect.
  • Solid background in Java engineering.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in migrating organizations from on-prem to GCP Cloud.
  • Skilled in designing and deploying service-based or event-based architectures.
  • Familiarity with Dynatrace and Spanner, along with SQL database experience.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Background in enterprise retail.
