Senior SAP Project Manager

firstPRO is seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Project Manager with 10-15 years of expertise in SAP implementation for our client located in North Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively with executives, and a strong capability to manage risks and push back on partners when necessary. This role requires cross-functional experience in Supply Chain, Finance, and IT. This role has a hybrid work model which requires 2-3 days onsite weekly.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage high-priority SAP implementation projects from concept through implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, to convey complex topics in a straightforward manner.
  • Identify and verbalize risks in a timely manner, providing solutions to mitigate them.
  • Push back on partners when necessary to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to drive SAP implementation success.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10-15 years of experience as a Project Manager in SAP implementation.
  • 7-10 years of information systems project management experience across multiple functional areas (Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, IT, etc.).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and executing high-priority projects.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build presentations and communicate complex topics clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience using formal Solutions Delivery Life Cycle/Methodology and project management methods, techniques, and tools.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) or other IT industry project management certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry preferred.
  • Experience with SAP implementation and Activate methodology preferred.
  • CSV (Computer System Validation) experience in highly regulated industries with a good understanding of 21 CFR requirements preferred.
