Associate Attorney

Well established insurance defense, insurance regulatory, complex commercial litigation, and business litigation firm located in Broward County seeks Insurance Defense Associate to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contacts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court.

Florida Bar Membership required.

Responsibilities

• Advising insurance company clients concerning business transactions, claims liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations;
• Interpreting laws, rulings and regulations in client matters. • Preparing legal documents on behalf of clients;
• Providing legal guidance and support;
• Researching cases by interviewing witnesses, reading depositions, reviewing evidence and speaking with the client to determine the best strategy for defense;
• Attending all pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advising clients following each hearing about the best strategies;
• Presenting and summarizing cases to judges and juries; planning and presenting arguments and counterarguments in a court of law;
• Negotiating settlements.
