Project Controls Specialist IIICollects, analyzes, and maintains schedule information from all disciplines and functional teams to support development and maintenance of the integrated project schedule. Identifies schedule constraints and evaluates their impact on the overall project timeline. Coordinates with internal departments to ensure shared understanding of project schedule requirements and dependencies. Supports the integration of all schedule activities and monitors inter-discipline and functional interfaces to identify potential conflicts or risks. Provides scheduling support and analysis to resolve interface issues and may perform similar scheduling support functions for the Outage Planning team.This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCCMajor Responsibilities/Duties/TasksObtains required schedule information by all disciplines/functions.Identifies restraints and effect on total project schedule. Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.Responsible for total integration of schedule activities. Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance of the total project.Conducts project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environmentThis job description is not intended to include every duty, task or instruction for which an employee is responsible. Other tasks may be assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisors request.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNAEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related discipline from an accredited university and 6 years of project controls experience on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) job or equivalent job.ORAssociate's degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of project controls experience on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) job or equivalent job.ORHigh school diploma or equivalent and 10 years of project controls experience on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) job or equivalent job.Minimum Experience Includes:Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills in applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPointProficient in Primavera P/6 or similar scheduling software such as Oracle Primavera Cloud, Powerproject, Deltek Acumen, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or OpenProjectSkilled in oral and written communication.Preferred Experience:Prior experience and execution of Project Controls work on federal government projects.Previous Earned Value Management System experience.Proficiency in Power BI and Visio.Prior experience with process engineering projects is desirable.Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.Previous Waste Treatment Project (WTP) experience.Physical Requirements (EFNM) Exposed Field Non-ManualPerforms desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Amentum visa sponsorship now or in the future.Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
