Join us.AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Architecture Designer III to join our Orange Architecture studio, Los Angeles or San Diego. This is a pivotal role to work on one of the most exciting, large and complex local projectsThe successful candidate will understand the value of leveraging the design platform that AECOM offers, which is access and collaboration with industry leading designers and technical experts in nearly every design and engineering field. The current and near-term projects that this position would support will be transformational to the communities in which they exist.Internally, this position will provide the opportunity to serve as an integral part of a planning and design practice that includes planners, landscape architects, architects, interior designers, engineers, and business development professionals. As a dynamic team of Architects, Planners, and Engineers we strive to incorporate beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects.The responsibilities of this position include:Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.Design Development and idea generationDetailed Design & DocumentationPreparing specifications, reports, presentations and related data tables.Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.Minimum requirements:Bachelor of Architecture degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationAutodesk RevitUS Citizenship required due to the nature of the workPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Architecture5 years of experience as an Architect or Architectural Designer on a variety of building typesAbility to become a licensed architect in the futureExperience with Adobe Suite, Autodesk Revit, Enscape, RhinoProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)Proficient in Rendering software, preferable 3ds Max, Corona, D5 Render, blender, or EnscapeRevit based tools such as pyRevit or other open-source python-based framework, Dynamo scriptsAI integration for design optioneering, entourage/image editingAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
