Position: Network Storage Engineer Location: Iselin, NJ/Charlotte, NC/Chandler, AZ Duration: 12 Months contract with potential to extend Job ID: 170355 Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Storage Engineer to architect, manage, and maintain enterprise storage systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, optimizing storage infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with security standards. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities: Architect, manage, and maintain enterprise storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and object storage platforms. Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of storage infrastructure. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for storage-related incidents and implement long-term solutions. Automate provisioning and operational tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python) and tools like Ansible. Ensure storage security, compliance, and audit readiness (SOX, PCI, HIPAA). Collaborate with compute, network, and application teams to support integrated infrastructure solutions. Manage backup and recovery strategies using enterprise tools (e.g., NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault). Monitor storage health using tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, or vendor-specific dashboards. Maintain detailed documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans. Qualifications: 7+ years of engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. 5+ years of systems engineering or technology architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. Deep expertise in enterprise storage technologies (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage). Experience with SAN/NAS protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB) and storage fabric management. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Prometheus, or similar. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Proven leadership in incident management and change control processes.
