This is a high-impact technical lead role responsible for building and evolving robust quality strategies that support complex product and engineering initiatives. In this role, you will own the end-to-end QA deliverables and lead the charge on embedding test automation throughout the software development lifecycle. Your contributions will elevate our quality engineering capabilities and drive innovation in testing across our platform. Tonal is the place for you.What You Will DoLead test strategy and automation solutions across applications and integrations within the product ecosystemCollaborate in discovery & planning and participate in agile ceremonies to ensure successful execution of product deliverablesImplement test-driven development practices to support rapid innovation and iteration on features powered by intelligence, personalization, and computer visionIncorporate modern techniques to advance validation strategies, streamline QA workflows, and drive efficienciesChampion a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.Provide mentorship and peer review on best practices in test automation and quality engineeringWho You Are7+ years of experience in software development/quality engineeringProficient in test automation strategies and QA methodologies in a complex, cross-functional environmentExtensive experience in testing embedded applications and mobile platforms with backend services integrationStrong experience in OOP & scripting languages (Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc)Working knowledge of data analytics and logging tools such as Sentry, Amplitude, OpenSearch or Reporting DBFamiliar with source control management, CI/CD workflow, and build/release processesHigh attention to detail with a creative approach to problem-solvingStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across time zones and technical domainsExtra CreditBA, BS, or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalentExperience in hardware-software integration, or real-time connected devicesFamiliarity with Apple Health and/or Google Health Connect platformsPassion for fitness, wellness, or health-tech industriesAt Tonal, we believe that the unique and varied lived experiences of our teammates contribute to our overall strength.
