Key Responsibilities: Medication Management: Dispense medications accurately to patients. Patient Education: Offer comprehensive advice on medication use, side effects, and interactions. Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to all pharmacy regulations at federal, state, and local levels. Controlled Substance Oversight: Keep meticulous records and manage controlled substances with care. Team Development: Train and support pharmacy staff in best practices. Collaborative Care: Work with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. Inventory Control: Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or excess. Insurance Handling: Process insurance claims and manage reimbursements efficiently. Customer Interaction: Address patient questions and concerns professionally. Job Requirements: Mandatory: Valid pharmacist license in accordance with state laws. Mandatory: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited program. Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy environment. Skills: Strong understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations. Proficient with pharmacy management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail. Capacity to excel in a fast-paced setting. Commitment to outstanding patient care. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Experience in managing inventory and implementing cost-saving strategies. Proven track record of effective pharmacy team leadership.
