Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) or more years of experience in a similar role within a plant environment
  • Experienced controls engineer with working knowledge of appropriate electrical controls and safety engineering standards, and industry practices
  • Working knowledge of PLC hardware and Ladder Logic programming
  • Understanding electrical / controls circuitry and schematics
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet, factory automation systems (Activplant) and server networking

Responsibilities

  • Understand, support, and program complete PLC, HMI, network devices and related hardware for new equipment installations
  • Assist with maintaining PLC based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation
  • Support operations in electrical / controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
  • Understand, support and develop complete motor drive configuration for servo, variable frequency and DC systems
  • Troubleshoot systems, new and existing, as needed in support of the manufacturing facilities company-wide
  • This salary role is a part of our Engineering Department and reports to the Engineer Manager
