Construction Superintendent

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion.

Overview

Vino Design Build, a premier construction design and build company, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee all ongoing construction operations. The ideal candidate will manage client communications, subcontractor onboarding and management, project scheduling, and partial site visits for estimates and sales. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Operations Management

•Oversee all construction activities from start to finish.

•Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.

•Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors on-site.

Client Communication

•Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the construction process.

•Provide regular updates to clients regarding project status, addressing any concerns or questions promptly.

•Conduct site visits with clients to review progress and ensure satisfaction.

Subcontractor Onboarding and Management

•Identify and onboard qualified subcontractors.

•Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company standards and project requirements.

•Monitor subcontractor performance, providing guidance and support as needed.

Scheduling

•Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.

•Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of tasks.

•Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope or timelines.

Partial Site Visits for Estimates and Sales

•Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide accurate estimates.

•Assist the sales team in preparing proposals and bids based on site assessments.

•Participate in sales meetings and presentations as needed.

Quality Control and Safety

•Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

•Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or deficiencies.

•Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

•Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.

•Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations, particularly in California.

•Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

•Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

•Ability to read blueprints, plans, and drawings.

•Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

•Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.

Education and Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

•Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision or management.

•Experience with residential and commercial construction projects is a plus.

•Ability to work on-site and perform physical tasks as needed.
