Join the MasTec family and help us deliver the highest level of service to our clients and communities, while maintaining our commitment to safety Responsibilities As a Telecommunications Aerial Crew Leader, you will support all phases of public service construction for various types of telecommunications projects. Additionally, you will perform the following tasks:Install and/or repair aerial CATV, coaxial, and fiber optic cables.Place, relocate, and remove poles, lines, open network cables, drop and lock cables to maintain efficient operation of customer facilities.Establish a security perimeter through signs, cones, and safety barriers.Review project plans, specifications, and installation instructions to ensure the project is built according to approved design specifications.Direct on-site activities.Complete necessary documentation correctly, log team time, etc.Communicate with the Area Supervisor or Manager.Act as a leader for internal teams.Supervise daily schedules, delivery times, and daily productivity of the Aerial Telecommunications team.Qualifications About You: Safety is part of your daily routine. You have a history of completing work with a high level of quality. You have a knack for solving difficult problems and enjoy a practical approach to your work. You are looking for long-term projects. You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your equipment. You accept the challenge of training and guiding your team. You have at least 3 years of telecommunications construction experience. You know the telecommunications construction industry. Coaxial splices, fiber optic splices, directional drilling, aerial and underground construction, etc. You have a knack for solving difficult problems and enjoy a practical approach to your work. You are comfortable working in a basket truck and scaling poles. You have knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety requirements to complete the work safely. You have strong knowledge of CATV construction practices and CTV/Aerial field equipment. You have OSHA 10, CPR, and signaling certification training. You can operate a Digger Derek truck. You can lift up to 70 pounds. You can work and climb up to 35 feet. You can read and understand work orders and Aerial Telecommunications cable prints. You can work on call, including nights and weekends as needed. You are comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. You have demonstrated leadership skills. MOS codes 2847, B05A, 3D157, 002599, 5699, 12P, 12Q, 12H, 3E251, 3E271 relate well to this position.Compensation $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience. Hard work has its rewards.
