Environmental Health & Safety Transportation Compliance SpecialistEnvironmental Health & Safety Transportation Compliance SpecialistTriumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Transportation Compliance Specialist in Savannah, GA team. This highly organized individual will be responsible for providing direction and oversight for the day-to-day safety and compliance of our operations. The selected candidate will interact directly with site and field personnel to ensure that our safety, environmental, and transportation related activities are carried out in strict compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.Triumvirate Environmental provides leading organizations in the higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing sectors with diverse services and expertise to assist them with compliance management. This position will be fully onsite.Responsibilities and Duties:Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety and transportation programs.Coordinate and lead environmental, health and safety initiatives.Lead proactive safety initiatives.Lead incident investigation and causal analysis.Oversee the behavioral observation program.Track CAPA's from incidents, observations, and internal reviews/audits.Update specific policies and procedures.Manage incident reporting and injury systems and processes.Participate in corporate and self-audits.Assist in conducting industrial hygiene assessments.Conduct permit required renewals, inspections and required reports.Update required plans.Develop emergency response plans and lead drills.Ensure all transportation and logistics activities are conducted safely.Work with Corporate Compliance and Operations to ensure transportation permits are current.Assist with utilization and maintenance of compliance data systems.Develop, implement and monitor internal Environmental, Health, Safety and Transportation programs.Coordinate and conduct internal training.Manage local medical surveillance program requirements.Required Qualifications:Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing abilities.Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or related field or 5-7 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.Working knowledge of environmental regulations, OSHA standards and transportation safety regulations.Experience conducting training.Ability to effectively interact with state and federal regulatory inspectors.Ability to work in diverse environments.Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.Must have a reliable form of transportation.Preferred skills:Knowledge of Intelex or other health and safety management systems.CSP, ASP, or other similar certificate.Besides Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, we contribute to a 401k, offer a generous tuition reimbursement program, TONS of safety training for some positions with opportunities for external trainings and certifications, Mentorship & Career Succession Planning, Relocation Opportunities, Auto/Home insurance discounts, pet assistance discount plans, discounted movie passes & moreTriumvirate Environmental is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
