Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with clients to learn about their legal needs and concerns and provide advice
  • Develop Strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively
  • Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action for each client in each case
  • Take, review, and administer full depositions and oral hearings of cases witnesses and experts.
  • Prepare all documents required to file cases
    (150 caseload)
  • Work closely with legal assistants and paralegals to prepare a comprehensive brief on each case that goes to trial
  • Maintain a regular schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences, based on cased requirements
  • Schedule and administer full depositions of cases, witnesses, and experts
  • Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action for the client in each case
  • Supervise two paralegals
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Must have 5 years of plaintiff’s personal injury experience
  • Must be licensed in NJ
  • Proficiency in negotiating settlement with insurance carriers and resolving property damage claims.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task
  • Exhibit organizational skills
  • Experience with Trials
  • Demonstrate team player and collaborative attributes
  • Demonstrate confidentiality
  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PPT), Case Management systems such as Smart Advocate., Document Management systems
  • Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills
  • Possess tenacity, drive, and compassion
  • Quality control – works effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Candidate must be willing to travel to court
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English - preferred
