Accounting Specialist Full Time / Exempt Location: Glen Burnie, MD Reports To: Director of Accounting We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting Department This position performs a variety of complex clerical tasks and entry-level accounting duties, including maintaining vehicle records, performing account reconciliations, and supporting general ledger functions. Key Responsibilities: Maintain vehicle registrations (Tag & Title) Handle vehicle disposals and bills of sale Ensure insurance requirements are current and documented Keep comprehensive vehicle records Perform bank reconciliations Reconcile and analyze assigned General Ledger accounts Prepare and enter journal entries Review monthly Profit & Loss statements Monitor and manage Fleet Card Program usage Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma required; some college coursework in accounting preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word What is R.E Michel Company?
