Tax AnalystMarket America, a global product brokerage and internet marketing company that specializes in one-to-one marketing, is seeking an experienced tax analyst for our accounting team.The tax analyst will be responsible for advance tax filings and compliance including federal, state, GST, VAT, and withholding taxes. OneSource and Thomson Reuters experience preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze all work papers to ensure accuracy and analyze all accounting and tax information and ensure compliance with all regulations.Evaluate all work papers and prepare draft of all returns within timeframe and recommend improvements for same and prepare tax schedules for all income tax details.Administers and ensures compliance to all monthly activities.Responds to all queries associate with tax submissions and ensure compliance to all extensions and payments.Provides support to all non-income taxes issues and performs research on various tax issues and prepares all comprehensive memos and maintain record of all transactions for business issues.Assists with external audits and notices through research and support documentation.Prepares detailed work-papers supporting the VAT and international tax filings.Works with 3rd party transaction tax compliance and local country managers to ensure timely and accurate processing of transaction tax filings.Reconciles commission tax withholdings against reports for 1099 and CP-58.Prepares tax related journal entries.Complies with company policies and procedures.Performs other duties as needed or requested.Supervisory Responsibilities:None but may direct the work of others.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in accounting.Minimum 2 years in corporate income tax compliance, multi-state, preferably with diverse entity structure.Skills:Strong technical and Excel based skills.Independently prioritize and perform multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.Above moderate levels of English speaking, writing, and reading comprehension; active listening; critical thinking; analytical, judgment; mathematics; and attention to detail and experience with working remotely with minimum supervision.Working Conditions and Environment:Fast paced environment handling multiple demands, must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary. Requires a high level of initiative and independence.Continuously see, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.Frequently hear, talk, and sit.Occasionally stand and stoop/bend.Intermittently twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, climb ladders and stairs, operate foot and hand controls, reach above shoulder, and squeeze.Long or odd hours, as needed.Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
