Senior AI Agent Engineer

If you have a genuine enthusiasm for software, and thrive in environments that encourage creativity, self-management, and a strong focus on culture, we want to hear from you What You'll Do Design, build, and deploy AI agents that deliver proactive coaching and personalized recommendations in a content platform Architect scalable and reliable systems with strong foundations in memory management, retrieval (RAG/Graph RAG), and stateful agent design. Implement evaluation and observability pipelines (scorecards, A/B tests, tracing, monitoring) to ensure reliability, groundedness, and safety. Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks across system performance, latency, and cost; introduce solutions before they impact delivery. Collaborate with product and backend engineers to ship high-impact AI features. Stay ahead of emerging AI advancements and integrate them into Make's development process. What You'll Bring Engineering foundation in Backend development, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields Strong background in AI agent development and architectural planning. Hands-on experience with LangGraph and LangChain Proven ability to design and iterate on complex systems A product mindset to both execute and anticipate user needs and system challenges Creative, independent thinking to challenge ideas and propose innovative solutions Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Experience with RAG/Graph RAG, hybrid memory systems, and recommendation engines. Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, regression/A/B testing, and agent observability tools. Background in ML/DL fine-tuning, adapters, rerankers, or advanced information retrieval. Security/privacy best practices: red-teaming, PII protection, RBAC/ABAC. Familiarity with production-ready systems: CI/CD, autoscaling, caching, streaming architectures.
