Material Handler

Material HandlerAs a Material Stock Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient management of materials within our dynamic and modern facility. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries and verifying shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices. You will inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and communicate any issues to Quality and Purchasing. You will enter receiving transactions into the ERP system and ensure materials are properly labeled and barcoded. You will support the put-away of materials into correct storage locations and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments. You will ensure receiving paperwork is complete, accurate, and properly routed, and communicate with Purchasing, Planning, and Logistics on delivery status or issues. You will assist in daily cycle counts and reconciliation activities, ensuring all transactions match physical material flow. You will support the investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies and follow all company safety policies and procedures for material handling. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving dock and staging areas.Essential skills include the ability to use an ERP system and carefully track and document material flow. Experience inspecting incoming shipments and coordinating the shipping of large freight pieces is required. Proficiency in operating a forklift is required. Experience in inventory control is also required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities is essential. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), are required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.Additional skills and qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent required. One or more years of experience in warehouses, receiving, or material handling in a manufacturing environment is required. Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems is preferred. Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices is required. Forklift experience is required. Enjoy 10 hours of holiday pay on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. The role requires physical activity, including lifting and moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, and using a portable ladder. Personal Protection Equipment is required, and good manual dexterity and coordination are essential.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
