The Project Manager will oversee the construction of the project in the field, providing leadership to field foremen and ensuring successful completion of trade work. The professional will be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects throughout the Midwest.
Title: Project Manager (6+ Years Exp)
Project Types: Refractory, Scaffolding, Fireproofing, and Insulation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and process submittals and shop drawings, managing of RFI's, and securing timely responses in a professional and timely manner while assisting the Assistant Project Manager and Superintendent with daily field items.
- Directs and supervises activities related to onsite construction, contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial projections, and schedule requirements to ensure projects are completed in a safe, quality, profitable, and timely manner
- Communicate with the project owner's and design team
- Assisting with processing change orders and managing the project's closeout effort.
- Overseeing Job Safety Programs, Estimating, Cost Control & Scheduling, and Business Development.
- On-Site and Remote Management of Project(s)
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager for a commercial/industrial general or specialty contractor.
- Knowledge of Refractory, Fireproofing, Coatings, Painting, and/or Insulation preferred but not required.
- Self Perform and Trades background Highly Preferred.
- Microsoft Project, RFI's, Change Orders, Submittals
- Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to details and ability to work independently
- Bachelor's preferred (Civil or Engineering Degree)
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical and sound judgment skills
