Freight Forwarder - Air ImportA Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing and coordinating the exportation of goods by air, including all necessary documentation, scheduling, and communication with customers and third-party service providers. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication skills to manage relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction.Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate the exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channelsPrepare and process required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of ladingTrack and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on the status of their shipmentsManage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may ariseCollaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service deliveryEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade lawsAll other duties as assigned.Educational background / Work experience:Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferredExperience in Freight Forwarding is highly desirableSkills & Competencies:Mathematical SkillsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and ratesOther SkillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesKnowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulationsUnderstanding of trade laws and regulationsLanguage skillsFluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is preferredAt Will EmploymentDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
