Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a ROC Operator to its team. This role will primarily work REMOTE, but must be local to Redmond, WA. The schedule for this role is a 14 day cycle - starting on a Monday, working Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday, work Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Then the next week it would reverse the aforementioned ON and OFF days. Shifts are 12 hours from 6pm-6am. This is a contract for hire role that pays $36.50 per hour.
This role acts as an engineering hybrid that exercises skills across many domains including: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, and IT. The incumbent will:
- Monitor, document, log and troubleshoot a wide variety of industrial instrumentation mechanical equipment, electronic monitoring, metering, controlling and signaling devices used in the operation of Building Automation Systems and Critical Environments.
- Command and control complex HVAC, lighting and mechanical systems.
- Monitor systems online and login to numerous servers and email systems.
- Complete info exchange with the last ROC operator.
- Monitor alarms and respond to alarms remotely.
- Receive calls from onsite technicians and dispatch technicians to respond to HVAC needs.
- Assure client comfort needs - prioritize escalations, such as a lab getting too hot, fire alarm, lox oxygen.
- Escalate and standby issues for any additional support.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of energy conservation guidelines.
- Understand and demonstrate the ability to review equipment for optimum energy strategies.
- Setup and troubleshooting of current Microsoft OS and Office environments.
- Ability to interpret complex system reports and analyze for optimum performance.
- Support Mechanical Technicians on system repair/operation.
- Train Mechanical Technicians on control system operation
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as a ROC Operator or related role.
- 3+ years experience working in/Monitoring Critical Environments.
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment such as Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Air Handling Units, and Terminal Cooling Units.
- Understanding and work experience of Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer Fundamentals.
- Experience responding to dynamic system faults and casualties
- and maintain Critical Environments.
- Experience with Microsoft 365
