Mentorship and professional development training are a focus throughout your entire career.Scheels Company Goals: We strive to be the best retailer in the USA in the eyes and minds of our customers, associates, and business partners.Overview: The Firearms Sales Associate is responsible for actively seeking out customers in our store, greet them in an upbeat and professional manner while providing world class customer service and assistant with firearms questions and purchases.Responsibilities:Ensure all paperwork for firearm sales including but not limited to form 4473, licensing, and background checks are completed accurately and thoroughlyConsistently demonstrate proper firearm safety and handlingEvaluate and appraise firearms for resaleAbility to exercise good judgement when interacting with customers when shopping for firearmsHave a well-rounded knowledge of all facets of the firearm industry including ammunition, reloading, and opticsFollows all Company policies and proceduresMust be able to legally own a firearmAbility to stop a straw purchaseGreet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smileGrow personal sales by hitting minimum goals and following Scheels professional salesmanship standards to provide an above and beyond customer experiencePromote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and be able to clearly explain all benefitsEngage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisionsDemonstrate a passion for products in our storeAttend all Scheels product training and all store meetingsMaintain a professional appearance on the sales floorAssist in all other assigned dutiesAbility to perform basic math; compute rate, ratio and percent; draw and interpret bar graphsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memosAbility to write simple correspondence. Heavy work Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
