Job Description IT Support Specialist The IT Support Specialist ensures the efficient delivery of IT services by improving support processes, maintaining system performance, and providing timely technical assistance. This role focuses on rapid issue resolution, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a high level of user satisfaction. Reports to: Team Lead - IT Support Specialist Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for hardware, software/applications, and network issues by diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime. Respond promptly to incidents, manage support tickets, and ensure issues are resolved within established SLAs to reduce impact on business operations. Assist users by delivering clear, patient, and customer-focused technical guidance. Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, system changes, and prepare relevant support metric reports. Collaborate with IT team members, internal departments, and external vendors to coordinate support efforts, share knowledge, and drive continuous improvements. Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to enhance individual skills and improve support processes. Handle IT procurement at the local level, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of technology solutions that align with regional and business needs. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, networking, and operating systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for diagnosing problems and identifying root causes. Understanding of ITIL principles. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with new technologies and industry trends. Work Hours Standard: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Occasional weekends and holidays may be required. Required Experience Windows 11 Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Microsoft Teams Printers, scanners, and computer peripherals Mobile devices (iOS, Android) Client PC connectivity: Ethernet, TCP/IP, VPN Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills Ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse users 2-3 years of experience in a Windows-based environment Qualifications To perform this role successfully, candidates must meet the requirements below.
