Join Planet and be a part of our mission to change the way people see the world.Planet is a global company with employees working remotely worldwide and joining us from offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and The Netherlands.About the Role:Planet is seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Manager to support the EMEA region, reporting to the Global Revenue Accounting Director.This role has direct supervisory and mentorship responsibilities. You will provide leadership, accounting expertise, business acumen, and a desire to improve processes. You will manage the revenue closely and will drive strategic initiatives while working cross-functionally by partnering with our Finance, Deals Desk, Legal, Sales, and Sales Operations. Ideally, you are an excellent teammate who is proactive, highly detail-oriented and process driven, but also a critical and creative thinker that can jump into the details while keeping an eye on the big picture. You're a great fit for this role if you have a technical revenue background with and experience in managing revenue accounting operations in a dynamic environment.This is a full-time, remote position based in either the Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, or the United Kingdom. If located near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week.Impact You'll Own:Lead the revenue contract review process and review the documentation of non-standard contracts to address any revenue considerations in accordance with US GAAP ASC 606.Documentation of revenue conclusion for complex or non-standard revenue arrangementsResponsible for Planet's revenue accounting in EMEA, including the month/quarter/year-end close process, journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis and related reporting and disclosures while operating in an effective SOX frameworkCollaborating with cross functional teams including Finance, Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Sales Operation, and others to ensure strategic alignment on business initiatives and specific transactions, system enhancements, and process streamliningSupport external reporting requirements such as the remaining performance obligation, revenue related disclosures and ad-hoc analysis as required.Other responsibilities include coordinating projects, product implementations, and system enhancements directly impacting revenueProvide support to Deal Desk, Legal and Sales Operation teams on deal structure and guidance on the contractual terms for revenue compliance and optimizationEngage with the external audit team to support the quarterly review and annual audit activities including the preparation and review of audit PBC'sCoaching your team to support their growth and professional developmentWhat You Bring:6+ years of revenue accounting experience, with experience at both public and private companies4+ years of supervisory and/or leadership experienceExcellent understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 principles in a SaaS or software focused industryAbility to be a self-starter and uphold accountability for self and the teamExperience supporting Deals Desk, Legal and/or Sales team during the deal negotiations for revenue complianceExcellent communication (written and verbal), collaboration and coordination skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities by identifying and engaging appropriate resources to deliver under given time constraints and deadlinesAbility to develop and inspire a team by empowering decision-making at lower levels, offering frequent opportunities to develop, and encouraging upward feedbackExperience with Netsuite and SalesforceUnderstanding of business ethics and ability to maintain discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive dataBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other quantitative majorExperience working effectively across internal and external organizations.Highly proficient in ExcelWhat Makes You Stand Out:Ability to navigate a dynamic, high-growth environmentAgile approach to problem solvingApplication Deadline: December 19, 2025 by 23:59 Pacific Time (11:59 PM PT)Benefits While Working at Planet:Paid time off including vacation, holidays and company-wide days offEmployee Wellness ProgramHome Office ReimbursementMonthly Phone and Internet ReimbursementTuition Reimbursement and access to LinkedIn LearningEquityVolunteering Paid Time OffWe care so much about Belonging.
