We have been serving Colorado Springs builders, general contractors, and homeowners for 25 years and are looking forward to many more.What You Will Be DoingTaking ownership of Rusin's "Core Values."Complying with safety standards and be aware of all surroundings.Setting the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them.Checking the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.Spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using rake, shovel, hand/power trowel, hand/power screed and float.Monitoring how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process.Producing rough concrete surface using a broom.Molding expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.Cleaning chipped area, using wire brush and feeling and observing the surface to determine if it is rough or uneven.Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete and waterproof or restore surface.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.What You Will Bring To Our OrganizationMinimum one (1) year general construction experience.Ability to use all types of hand tools.Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the public.Working Conditions & Physical RequirementsMay be expected to travel out of town to work on projects.May usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings, weekends, shift work and possibly be on call. Generally, work longer hours in summer.Work in all weather conditions such as noisy, wet, cold, hot, dirty, windy and dusty environments.While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to reach with hands and arms and frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk, use of hands and fingers, material handling, operate tools and equipment.
