Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory levels to achieve targets for service and stock.
- Build strategic partnerships with suppliers to enhance product flow.
- Communicate effectively with the Production Team regarding the supply of in-house treated materials.
- Ensure timely receipt of all purchased materials to support the supply plan.
- Implement and monitor purchasing procedures for accurate and efficient management and replenishment.
- Continuously audit and adjust system settings to optimize ERP recommendations and maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate across functions and with suppliers to minimize Excess & Obsolete inventory.
- Oversee supplier performance to ensure reliable delivery, product quality, and customer service.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, enhancing business reputation.
- Monitor supplier pricing, communicate changes to relevant team members, and update system pricing as needed.
- Serve as a backup for other Purchasing Department members and the Merchandising team; collaborate with the Sales team to secure profitable sales on non-catalog substrates.
- Actively participate in department meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Over 5 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in a nationwide distribution environment.
- Experience working with international teams is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Initiative and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adjust priorities and reallocate resources in response to challenges.
- Strong sense of urgency and effective time management.
