Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Step Down Job Duration: 13 weeks, with an option for 26 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: WA RN or Compact RN Certifications: BCLS and ACLS required, NIH preferred Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Job Description: - Work as a Registered Nurse in the Clinical Decision "Observation" Unit. - Provide care for patients requiring observation, including general medical and post-operative care. - Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. - Care for patients with conditions such as GI bleed, SBO, ESRD, CHF, COPD, chronic bi-pap/C-pap. - Ensure excellent patient care for short-stay inpatient and extended outpatient stays. - Participate in weekend coverage every other week. - Float between various units within your skill set as required. - Complete orientation with 40 hours at no cost, alongside self-reported module completions. Please note, local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are ineligible for a travel contract. Candidates may also be asked to float within the hospital or to a nearby sister hospital. All travelers are expected to float between various like units within their skill set.
