The Sales Manager/Director for Proteomics Services will lead business development efforts on behalf of PTM Bio’s Proteomics services business in the US. The candidate will be responsible for developing key business relationships with Pharma, biopharma, biotech, contract research organisation (CRO), diagnostic, and key academic accounts in the United States.


Responsibilities

  • Develop new customer accounts for PTM Bio. Nurture new customer accounts and establish mature business relationship for Proteomics service business.
  • Develop strategic business relationship with Pharma, biopharma, biotech, CRO and diagnostic accounts. Negotiate licensing, co-marketing and other collaboration agreements to expand partnership relationships related to PTM Bio’s platforms.
  • Contribute strategic insights to the growth of PTM Bio’s proteomics business. Perform market competitive analysis to identify business growth opportunities, and to develop essential investments and external partnership strategies.
  • Work with product management and R&D team to improve PTM Bio’s Proteomics product solutions based on market trend as well as opinions from key customers/collaborators in different industry sectors.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in proteomics space. Work with R&D team to develop and execute key proof-of-concept and pilot studies to contribute to new technology demonstration and product promotion to the market.
  • Attend and coordinate national and regional conferences, trade shows, online events and corporate meetings as scheduled.
  • Understand PTM Bio’s value proposition in broader scope and being able to communicate PTM Bio’s vision beyond Proteomics services.


Qualifications


  • Minimum BS in biology, chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics or equivalent science degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of account management and customer facing experience in biotech industry.
  • Experience in Proteomics products or services required. Experience with pharma, biopharma or CROs strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in selling proteomics services strongly preferred.
  • Business development experience and proven track record in related business area strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Proteomics analysis market preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 25% - 50% of time.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
