Title: Electrical Test Engineer
Location: Columbus, Indiana (Onsite)
Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent with AXISCADES.
Position Overview
The Test Engineer is crucial for developing and executing test plans, collaborating with design teams on FMEA, and ensuring quality assurance through effective testing. This role involves designing electrical schematics, planning test equipment, managing test databases, and analyzing data. The position supports cross-functional team efforts to meet project goals and maintain high standards in testing processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans according to the test strategy.
- Collaborate with design teams to process and interpret test requirements, developing specifications and plans.
- Review test standards and old test reports to decide on necessary tests.
- Design electrical schematics and document harnesses for testing.
- Plan and specify test equipment for component or system-level testing.
- Acquire, process, and analyze test data, providing engineering interpretations of results.
- Manage test result databases and utilize tools like nCode, MATLAB, and Excel for data analysis.
- Work with multiple teams such as development, product management, and quality assurance in project planning.
Education & Experience Required
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Preferably 2+ years of experience in test engineering roles.
- Experience with test controllers, instrumentation, sensors, or similar electromechanical components.
- Experience with CANBus protocols and testing.
- Highly preferred experience with nCode and MATLAB.
Technical Skills Required
- FMEA
