A job offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market dataWhat Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:Diagnose and repair complex HVAC systems and equipmentPerform preventive maintenance on various commercial HVAC unitsInstall new HVAC systems and componentsRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specificationsTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issuesEnsure compliance with local and national codes and regulationsCommunicate effectively with clients and team membersComplete detailed service reports and maintain accurate recordsPhysical Work Requirements & Conditions:May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain. Perform strenuous labor and general maintenance activities. The Mechanical-HVAC Technician will be required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., carry and adjust heavy objects. Foreseeably the position will encounter sharp, hot, and very cold supplies equipment, and parts.Must have the ability to safely climb ladders, work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces and on roofs. While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must be able to work Holidays & weekends when on-call.Experience and Technical Skills:RequiredHigh School diploma or GED equivalentThree (3)+ years of relevant work experience, preventive & corrective maintenance of commercial &/or industrial buildings/equipment.EPA Section 608 Universal certificationExperience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) &/or Building Management System (BMS)Strong Customer Service & Interpersonal skillsExperience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.Must have knowledge of industry standards, for mechanical maintenance, HVAC maintenance, and the ability to apply knowledge to maintenance, inspection, and testing of campus mechanical systems.The ability to read, interpret, and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications including work orders and equipment manuals is required.PreferredMilitary service, union training, vocational or college education is preferred.Location: On-site Corvallis, OR, Eugene, OR, Salem, ORIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
