Job Summary: We are looking for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position is vital for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This role demands a high level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic logistics environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring timely delivery to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and process all shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms. Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders and manifests. Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Track shipments and provide updates to internal departments and customers. Maintain accurate and organized shipping records and files. Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and transportation regulations. Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure timely preparation of orders for shipment. Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues related to shipments. Adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE, to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/logistics role. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with shipping software and warehouse management systems is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of shipping procedures, documentation, and transportation modes. Commitment to safety and adherence to guidelines for PPE.
