Nucleus Healthcare is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment at a leading academic health system in Moorestown, New Jersey.

This health system provides access to primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care, all within one complete health system. Our client is a Level I trauma center, and is consistently recognized for its quality, safety, and exceptional patient care.


Job Description:

The OR RN is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Other duties you would be responsible for include but are not limited to:

  • Assessing patient status and considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural factors, developing patient care plans, and implementing clinical nursing interventions consistent with the plan.
  • Acting as a patient advocate, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the surgical process.
  • Assisting interdisciplinary team in pre-cooperative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.
  • Proficiently operate and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring their proper functioning during procedures.
  • Documenting all patient care activities accurately and concisely in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Reporting pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to appropriate personnel.
  • May be required to perform limited laboratory services.
  • Supporting performance improvement initiatives and providing leadership to other members of the patient care team.
