The ideal candidate for this position can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, evaluate and implement accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. This position is for candidates who can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial goals, policies, and procedures in collaboration with Ownership Group.
  • Build and lead a motivated financial team to meet business needs and staffing standards.
  • Foster cross-department collaboration for financial transparency and business growth.
  • Establish and enhance internal financial management control systems.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and operating reports for compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage DOL, IRS, 401(k), and medical compliance, as well as DCAA requirements.
  • Coordinate with CPA firm for external audit, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Lead monthly business review and reporting to Ownership Group.
  • Analyze key financial and operational metrics and optimize cashflow strategies.
  • Assess organizational performance against budgets with functional leaders.
  • Manage banking, bonding, and ERP systems.
  • Ensure safety culture compliance among employees.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in Sage 300.
  • Strong cost accounting, inventory management, and revenue recognition skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and committed to follow-through.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel overnight.
  • Proactive in partnering with leadership and motivating team members.
  • Demonstrates integrity, respect, and ethical conduct in all interactions.
